Ever feel like you're your own worst enemy? That's self-sabotage at work. It's like a hidden program in your mind, playing tricks and setting up roadblocks on your path to success. Today, let's dive deep into understanding this tricky part of ourselves and learn how we can switch up the script for a happier, more successful life.
Imagine your mind as a giant iceberg. What you see on the surface is your conscious mind, but underwater, that's your subconscious, and it's HUGE. This part of your mind is running the show more than you might think, especially when it comes to those self-sabotaging behaviors. It's all about the beliefs and experiences tucked away in our subconscious that shape our actions without us even realizing it.
The things we tell ourselves can make or break us. If we're always thinking we're not good enough or that we'll never succeed, guess what? We start to believe it. These negative stories we replay in our minds can lead to self-sabotage, stopping us from grabbing opportunities or reaching our full potential.
Comfort and growth don't live in the same neighborhood. Just like muscles need a good workout to grow, our personalities and abilities need challenges to develop. Seeing tough times as a chance to grow can push us forward instead of holding us back.
But it's all about balance. Too much pressure and we might give up. The goal is to find challenges that are tough but doable. It's like picking up weights you can actually lift, not the ones that make you want to run out of the gym.
Our subconscious loves two things: repetition and strong emotions. By filling our minds with positive, emotionally charged thoughts and visions of success, we can start to overwrite those old, sabotaging beliefs.
It's detective time—time to hunt down those sneaky thoughts that hold us back. Once we find them, we don't just throw them away. We figure out where they came from, acknowledge them, and then choose to write new, empowering stories.
Life gets a lot more exciting when we do what we really want to, not what we think we should. This shift makes our goals feel like personal choices, not chores, clearing the path of those self-made obstacles.
When we truly believe in what we're doing and our ability to succeed, doubt doesn't stand a chance. This belief turns our goals from distant dreams into inevitable realities.
Overcoming self-sabotage isn't a one-time deal; it's a journey. By diving into our subconscious stories, welcoming growth through challenges, and consciously choosing our paths, we take big steps towards success. And the stories we've been telling ourselves? They're powerful, sure, but we're even more powerful when we start writing new ones.

In the beginning
For far too long, I had a bad case of the "sposetas." I was living my life based on what I thought I was "sposeta" do, and not living for myself. When there is a conflict between the emotional and logical mind, the emotional mind will always win. This is when I first started struggling with anxiety - because I wasn't living my life in a way that was authentic to myself. So I changed, and I thought I had those old anxiety issues under control until...
And then..
In 2014, I had Bell's palsy, and things never went back to normal. I had basically given up on life. My anxiety went through the roof and I would have constant panic attacks any time I went out in public, so I quit going out. I barely ever saw my friends, became agoraphobic, and gained a ton of weight. Which of course made everything much worse! I didn’t just lose all hope - I lost myself.
My Breakthrough
I knew that wasn't who I was, and eventually enough was enough. I was determined to take back control of my life, and no longer be a prisoner of anxiety. That is how I discovered hypnosis. Thanks to hypnosis, I was able to take back control of my life and not only regain my confidence - but dramatically increase it. Now, the very idea of having a panic attack is as foreign to me as it was before I ever even heard of the term let alone experienced one.
Why I Do What I Do
I became a hypnotist because nobody should have to go through what I did on my journey. And if there is a silver lining to it then that is I can use the wisdom I gained to give others the tools they need to keep growing and succeeding - so I can help others free themselves from whatever old stories they've been telling themselves that kept them stuck. Nobody should have to go through what I did and I want the world to know that nobody has to.
Use this section to address concerns someone might have about YOU - which they think makes you unique, special, or have super powers? Explain to them that you are just a person. You are human just like them and if YOU can do it, so can they. It doesn't take magic or mystical wisdom to achieve success and victory.
